Guide
Good to know
Expect strong waves year-round
Powerful rolling waves make swimming difficult for weak swimmers; snorkeling near the rocks on the right is calmer.
Go for snorkeling and marine life
Crystal-clear water and abundant colorful fish near shore make this one of the best snorkeling spots in the area.
Wear proper hiking shoes
The rocky downhill path takes 15-20 minutes and is steep with loose stones; flip-flops cause slips and falls.
Bring your own food and water
No facilities exist on the beach; only a small shop at the top of the hill sells drinks and snacks.
Arrive early to avoid crowds
The lot fills by late afternoon, especially in summer; one visitor reported it sooooo busy at 4pm in September.

Where do you park at Los Muertos Beach?
The nearest mapped parking area is 500 m from the listed location. Positions come from OpenStreetMap, not from review text.
How far is the walk to the water at Los Muertos Beach?
